Golf Course Review: Boots Randolph Golf Course
Excellent Conditions, Very Solid Track
Very, very good golf course. Conditions were fantastic--greens ran smoothly and fairways were in great shape. Paid $34.00 on a Tuesday to ride 18.
Sneaky tough course. Several holes require exacting tee shots, and on many holes 3-wood is the play. Driver can run through the fairway and trees will block your second. If you are hitting it crooked, you will lose several balls, but if you can keep it in the fairways you will have reasonable second shots into receptive greens. The greens have plenty of slope, so pay attention to pin placement.
This course is way off the beaten path, but is worth the drive. The major drawback was that the pro shop did not have yardage books, and this is a course where local knowledge can make a tremendous difference.
